Orthotics

In consultation with a referring physician, Orthotic Practitioners evaluate a patient to assist in the creation of a prescription for an orthosis. Orthoses can be custom made from a computerized laser scan or cast model of the patient. They may also be custom fit by modifying off-the-shelf prefabricated devices. Many factors are taken into consideration when evaluating a patient and formulating an individual design. Many custom orthoses are fabricated by staff technicians in our Winchester laboratory.
