Footwear and Foot Orthotics
One of our specialized practitioners will evaluate a patient to assist in the creation of a prescription for specialized footwear, a foot orthotic or shoes that can accommodate an orthosis.
An evaluation of foot anatomy, pathology and biomechanics of gait is completed prior to an individualized recommendation for treatment.
Many of our specialized footwear patients are diabetic. Diabetic feet require a care that includes foresight in a proactive approach to care. Our practitioners are trained in what types of problems are likely to occur in the diabetic foot and recommend shoes, foot orthotics and shoe modifications to help prevent potential problems.
